Thirty two miles and over three hundred curves, the Back of the Dragon is the premier riding road in the nation!  AACFA organizes tour groups to take us down Back of the Dragon and several other engaging roads in the area. The event starts Thursday evening with a meet and greet and will have guided tours on both Friday and Saturday to different roads and locations each day. We organize our own parking lot party one night and the city of Marion hosts a Camaro/Firebird only cruise in for us to wrap up the event Saturday evening.

Back of the Dragon is ideal for sports cars or motorcycles, this road offers the most spectacular views you can find in the Appalachians.  Crossing three mountains in its course from Marion, Virginia to Tazewell, Virginia, the Back of the Dragon offers knee dragging curves, switchbacks, limited access (only one business on the Back of the Dragon, a convenience store where one can purchase Dragon Swag – otherwise the only access are private drives), and elevation changes that no other route can offer.  After becoming a Dragon Master, stop in a local dive for lunch or dinner and spend some time riding the hundreds of miles of great by ways Tazewell County has to offer!

Our rally will take place from July 10 to July 13, 2025 with most of the participants arriving on the 10th and departing on the 13th.
